In 2019 I walked away from professional basketball on my own terms. Five on five. Years of competing internationally. I chose the exit.
Then 3x3 gave me a new dream. LA 2028. Home soil. A chance to represent on the biggest stage in the world with a chip on my shoulder and something to prove.
September 17, 2024 that dream ended. Not my choice. An injury that required emergency limb salvage, multiple reconstructive procedures, and a peripheral nerve transfer in May 2025. The second retirement wasn't a decision. It was a verdict.
What happened next is the reason this company exists the way it does.
While my nervous system was relearning how to fire, I was building. Frameworks. Workshops. A platform for student-athletes. Relationships with practitioners across the NCAA. I was facilitating leadership sessions and presenting at national conferences more than a year post surgery with work still in progress. Not just on the platform, but on my own body.
That is not a story about overcoming. That is a story about showing up anyway.
Having a bad shooting night does not make you a bad shooter.
